The Rundown: Cliff goes after the Nazi super weapon as Betty finds herself in the belly of the beast.

Betty and British spy Ballard are racing through the forest with a group of rebels being chased by a Nazi patrol while Cliff fights off a group of enemy planes in the skies overhead. When Betty and Ballard break off from the group, they are quickly captured and brought to the base. Cliff sneaks in to try to rescue them both as the commander of the base shows his guests the weapon they plan on testing on the nearby village below.

Cliff flies in to help the spy escape certain death before returning to help Betty and the three attempt to escape after taking down the weapon. Unfortunately, escaping becomes more difficult when they discover that there is another weapon and this one is mobile.

The Story: Hardman crafts a thrilling adventure in this issue. It’s filled with great action and there are some palpable moments of tension throughout the issue. Hardman creates a story with fun, suspenseful moments as well as great dialogue and ends the issue on an awesome cliffhanger that promises some great action to come in the next part of the story.

The Art: Kotz creates some great art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how it captures the tension and suspense of the story while also delivering on the sweeping, epic action.
