The Rundown: Terrific and his team delve deeper into the underworld as things on the surface get more dangerous.

Terrific and his team of time remnant heroes delve deeper into the darkness until they come upon the river Styx and its ferryman Charon. Unfortunately, what Terrific has to offer is insufficient and he requires something personal from each of the heroes. As they give him what he wants, they are allowed passage, but their journey takes a tragic turn when an attack forces one of them to give his life to save the rest.
On the surface, Tornado coordinates the remaining League members together to help the evacuation of the planet. Unfortunately, the power they are using begins to fail and a small group of heroes find themselves facing off against supercharged villains in a small town that is turning itself over to Neron.
The Story: Waid creates thrilling, entertaining moments throughout this issue. I love the excitement of this story arc and how it incorporates so many different and interesting characters. Both sides of the story are compelling and engaging in their own ways and it’s a great way of keeping the suspense of the arc going while giving the characters in this series some well earned stakes to overcome.
The Art: Mora is a visual master with the art in this issue. Every page and panel has something to capture the eye and the visual details throughout the issue are glorious.
