The Rundown: Logan takes a trip to Miami, but his past is never far behind him.

In the wake of losing someone he cared for, Logan decides to quit the superhero life. He jumps on his bike and takes off, but he gets stopped by a drifter at a local gas station. A drifter that seems to know exactly who Logan is and apparently shares a past with him. Wolverine makes his way to Miami and immediately finds himself getting into local scraps with would be hoods before he is confronted by a familiar face Alison Blaire aka Dazzler.

Dazzler and her manager ask for help from Logan, but he refuses before leaving to check into a hotel. When he decides to follow the manager, he sees that Dazzler is in trouble from someone bigger than a local mobster. Someone who has no problem causing a riot at her concert when Wolverine intervenes. To make matters worse, the drifter arrives looking for Logan to complete some unfinished business.

The Story: Panosian crafts a fun, engaging and entertaining story in this first issue. I love the setting of this story and especially the time period. It allows for some interesting storytelling and reveals and Panosian finds a great balance with the setting, time period and characters. There’s an interesting mystery at play within the story as well and I cannot wait to see where the story goes next because this first issue has captured my imagination and made me want more.

The Art: Panosian’s art is absolutely stunning. I love the 70’s aesthetic both in the character designs and the clothing. The backgrounds are impressive and the art immerses you into the world of this story and its characters.
