The Rundown: Goliath helps with the police while the rest of the clan looks for the missing egg.

It’s been a month since Demona stole the egg from the rookery and Brooklyn and Katana are continuing to hunt for her. With few choices and a decision to end her threat once and for all, the pair go looking for Othello who has been working for Demona. The manage to track him down, but he refuses to help and his refusal forces the pair to go to the only other person they know is connected to Demona.

At the same time, Goliath is settling into his role as a member of the NYPD task force not only helping people in need, but also stopping a dangerous robbery. At the same time, another force is growing within the city. One with a connection Avalon and a harbinger of trouble for Oberon and Titania.

The Story: Weisman continues to create a dense, intricate and thoroughly engaging world in this series. I continue to love the direction this story is going in and the story is taking some big, compelling and personal swings throughout the issue. I love the direction that it is taking with Goliath gaining respectability and status in the city while the other side of the coin is Brooklyn and Katana’s moves to end Demona once and for all. There’s great drama in those moments and I cannot wait to see them inevitably clash.

The Art: Gambone crafts some visually stunning and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the evolution of the visual style and how it manages to capture the animation aesthetic while also giving the art a comic book reality.
