The Rundown: Elvira and Vincent find themselves in Egypt looking to stop the end of the world.
Elvira arrives in Egypt along with Vincent’s ghost and the pair begin the search for the writer of the screenplay causing so much trouble. During their search, Elvira talks to Vincent about her recent trip to hell and her experience as well as learning about Vincent’s own time in the afterlife. As they reach their destination, they are unaware that they are being followed.
After finding the man they’re looking for, Vincent, Elvira and the writer head off to find the actual book they’re looking for as the two men following them have orders to bring them in. After being confronted by the two goons, Vincent employs some ghostly deception to give them the chance to fight back. After escaping the tomb, they are attacked by the woman looking for the book they have and is ready to use it to take over the world.
The Story: David Avallone continues to craft a fun and entertaining story in this issue. The humor is brilliantly woven throughout the dialogue and the banter between Elvira and Vincent is both fun and engaging. The plot is entertaining throughout and both the tone of the story and the stakes kept me interested. I love the pacing of the plot and the high adventure throughout.
The Art: Juan Samu delivers some beautiful art filled with great details on every page. There are some awesome visual moments to be had.
