The Rundown: Bruce takes on Jason in an abandoned Gotham City.

Bruce continues his fight with Dick as the new Batman and realizes that something is different about this version of Dick Grayson. Something that lets him know that this is the work of the Heart. Something he will use to bring Dick into a position where he can deliver the killing blow that the Heart wants.

Bruce awakens to find himself in a straight jacket with Batman standing over him. This Batman is Jason Todd and he tells Bruce that he is a delusional Clayface who believes that he is Batman. When Bruce manages to escape, he discovers what kind of Gotham Jason rules over and decides that the only way to escape is to embrace the reality the Heart has dropped him into.

The Story: Williamson continues to craft an entertaining psychological challenge for Batman in this issue. I really love the action throughout the story as well as the insight Bruce has into who Dick is and what he would do. Things get darker when he finds himself in Jason’s Gotham and the reasons behind it are perfectly crafted to who Jason would be if he were Batman. I like the Clayface twist in the story and look forward to seeing what Bruce will do because of it.

The Art: Mora’s art is simply beautiful. It is visually thrilling and stunning with gorgeous detail both in the environments and the characters.
