The Rundown: A new crime boss makes his presence known in Gotham as Batman searches for answers.

An ambush on a truck at the docks will prompt a meeting with the leaders of the biggest crime organizations in Gotham City. At the same time, Bruce Wayne pays a visit to the Wayne Experimental Sciences Building to speak with Dr. Zeller about her Crown of Storms and its ramifications. A meeting that has some unexpected results.

Batman goes looking for Anarky who has decided to take a dangerous route to escape and when captured, reveals something dangerous to the Dark Knight. At Bruce Wayne’s former home, the heads of the criminal elite gather with the current mayor of Gotham and the man who brought them all together and has been operating a criminal empire under everyone’s nose, the Minotaur.

The Story: Fraction introduces a new and interesting threat in this issue. Minotaur seems like a unique and formidable foe for Batman and I am interested in the physical difference that he has. I am leaning into the suspension of disbelief a lot because it is hard for me to believe that Batman would allow an entirely new criminal enterprise to spring up in his city without his knowledge, but I am willing to give it a shot because I think Fraction will be able to explain it in a way that makes me interested and excited to see what happens next.

The Art: Jimenez delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I really love the visual style of this issue and the character designs a lot.
