The Rundown: Diana and company find themselves in what the princess is calling Dimension Chi. In order for her companions to know the danger they find themselves in, she has to recall a story from her childhood. One that will pit a young Diana and her mother against a formidable adversary.

Trapped and captured in a twisted alternate dimension, young Diana and her mother must face a mirror image of Hippolyta who has rejected motherhood and family in favor of expansion and conquest. In order to win their freedom, Hippolyta must best her double, but an attack from unknown invaders will force the two women to work together to save Themyscira.

The Story: Steve Orlando does a great job of setting up the conflict to come that has been building since the end of the last arc. Giving the reader a sense of what the characters could be facing is a great narrative trick and effective in ramping up the suspense leading into the ending. This was a well done side story that established some interesting story beats and conflicts to come and I am interested in seeing where the story goes next.

The Art: Aaron Lopresti does a great job with the art in this issue. All of the characters look great and the action scenes are drawn beautifully, filled with amazing details.
