The Rundown: The Sparrows prepare for war as the Academy gathers to make their way home.

Good Boy goes after Rumor’s family and she manages to fight it off as Klaus and his allies steal the Sparrow’s ship which they don’t discover until they return home. Number One is losing it as the assassination attempt on the president shows how vulnerable things are under the Sparrow’s control.

Vanya is confronted about her past and tempted to return to the powers that almost destroyed the world. Klaus returns to the hotel and finds no one there and begins to gather the siblings together while Number 5 makes his way to the White House to complete his mission. A mission that will allow his patron to move against the Umbrella Academy and stop them once and for all.

The Story: Ba and Way ramp up the tension and suspense throughout the issue and continue to move the characters into position both physically and emotionally to craft an engaging confrontation between the two teams. I love the buildup within the story and there are some great character moments that make me excited to see where the story goes next.

The Art: Ba creates some beautiful imagery throughout the issue. Everything from the character moments to the moments in space look visually stunning.
