The Rundown: A member of the League faces his colleagues when a mission exposes a hidden agenda.

Someone or something has taken control of an aircraft carrier and steered it towards another country with the purpose of starting a war. Batman leads a strike team to stop the ship and steer it away from the coast, but they cannot see what is controlling it until Ray Palmer emerges to find a solution. A solution that will have him confronting the League about their secrecy when his investigation is uncovered.

At the same time, Dreamer is confronted within her own dreams by a descendent connected to Darkseid. A descendent that wants to help her find a way to save both the League and the multiverse, but it will require Dreamer to move behind her own fears and embrace becoming a hero.

The Story: Waid and Maines craft intense and entertaining stories that beautifully connect both in theme and tone. I love the paranoia of Waid’s story and how it forces the League to confront its own actions. Maines does a great job of giving Dreamer purpose and a connection to future events. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.

The Art: Mora delivers stunning visuals that are beautifully detailed and exciting because of the action of the story. Ossio offers awesome imagery that takes viewers to an impressive visual dreamland.
