The Rundown: A variety show run by a talking frog discovers a bigger world beyond their theater.

The Greatest Show (Not) on Earth

After saving a failing show, Rowlf is kidnapped by Mojo and taken to Mojoworld. Kermit and the Muppets engage the help of the council of Bunsens to use their technology to enter the multiverse and find superheroes who will help them find their missing member. With the help of Howard the Duck, the Muppets manage to form a team of heroes to help them enter Mojo’s world to rescue their friend.

A thoroughly fun, entertaining and ridiculous story that showcases everything I love about the Muppets and how they are perceived. I love the interactions between the characters especially Fozzie and Spider-Man and Emma Frost and Miss Piggy. The art absolutely captures the tone of the story perfectly.

Pigs of the Galaxy

On another episode of Pigs in Space, the crew is stranded when a pair of strange visitors come on board. Miss Piggy and the crew are greeted by Rocket and Groot who offer to help repair their damaged ship but end up making a new friend and potential new Guardian of the Galaxy.

A fun, entertaining short that entertained me from start to finish. I also really love the art style.

Just What the Chef Ordered

Clea is struck with a strange sickness and Stephen is tasked with getting her soup made by the only person on the planet who can make it the ways she wants, the Swedish Chef. As Stephen Strange sees the chef in action he goes looking for a version in the multiverse that is more adept at his craft and finds versions who are way more erratic and unhinged.

A thoroughly fun and funny short with great art throughout.

A Terrible Invention

Hank Pym and Bruce Banner find themselves guests on the science show of Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and they are not impressed as they see the doctor seeming to injure his assistant Beaker with every experiment. Things get more serious when Bunsen’s latest experiment involves radiating Pym particles with gamma radiation. An experiment that goes sideways when the Beaker gets doused with the solution and has an interesting transformation.

This short literally had me laughing out loud when the final reveal happens. I loved it and wanted to see more.

Bad Man

Logan is stranded on the side of the road in the desert when he is picked up Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem who are on their way to a gig in Vegas. As they continue their trip, the band makes a stop just long enough for a car thief to drive off with their van. Unfortunately, he realizes too late that Logan and Animal are still on board.

A darker, more intense story that is incredibly fun to read and conveys everything it needs to even without dialogue.

Muppets Assemble!

The Avengers receive a distress call from deep space. Doom gets the same message and decides to send his army to attack the city. With time running out, Iron Man and the Avengers need to a recruit some new members. Unfortunately, the only recruits they can find are Muppets.

A fun and funny short story with some great moments for the characters.
