The Rundown: Arleen calls for help after finding her grandma and things get strange on the farm.

Arleen discovers her mother in the basement of her home covered in oil and brings her upstairs to clean her up. After discovering that the woman is catatonic, she calls the only people she thinks might have answers, the oil company who put the oil derrick on her land. A man named Thomas arrives and begins to check out the location.

After finding nothing wrong with the derrick or the land, both Thomas and Arleen see strange things on the land itself. Things that force them to investigate until they discover a previous oil worker screaming for help covered in oil. As they bring him inside to help him, they fail to notice that what is coming from the ground is not actually oil.

The Story: Condon and Ehrich continue to create an engaging and interesting mystery in this follow up issue. I enjoy the atmosphere and tone of this story a lot. The characters are really interesting and the premise is moody and entertaining. I am definitely interested in seeing where this story goes next.

The Art: Adlard creates some beautifully engaging art throughout the issue and Martin makes those visuals pop with the colors.
