The Rundown: The Sangerye family faces a difficult fight on multiple fronts during their investigation in Mississippi.

Part of the Sangerye family continues their fight in the woods to protect two white teens running to escape monsters. Their mission isn’t to kill the Jinoo this time, they are only there to capture. Unfortunately, the demons they are fighting have different ideas as Meriah and Enoch find themselves having to listen to a local politician expound on the virtues of segregation alongside an FBI agent who seems to share his views.
As things continue to get tense among Meriah and the locals, Joe and the other family members find themselves fighting a larger group of Jinoo before they are rescued by a familiar face with his own personal mission of revenge.
The Story: Walker and Brown consistently craft beautifully engaging narratives in this issue. The continuation of the world building from the previous series is brilliant and this story is infused with beautifully rich and deep moments for the characters and for the reader to enjoy. I am immediately immersed in this new adventure and the difficulties the characters face in a society that hasn’t changed nearly as fast as they have. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.
The Art: Greene’s art is truly wonderful. From the characters to the blistering action, I could not take my eyes off the page and scoured each panel for every detail.
