The Rundown: In order to save the station, Dax is given a dangerous and deadly choice.

Dax continues to investigate the murder of a member of the crew as the entity posing as an ancient Bajoran weapon forces her and other members of the crew to play a deadly game alongside a man who wants Dax dead. At the same time, Sisko and Kira discover something strange about the Maquis ships attacking them. Something that could be connected to the missing crew of the Valera.
Odo and Bashir get some unexpected help from Quark to escape from the brig and begin their mission to retake the station from the Maquis onboard. Dax is given a choice by the living weapon and must decide if escaping from the holosuite is worth sacrificing the life of the man who wants her dead.
The Story: Segura brings this story to a satisfying conclusion. There was a lot going on throughout the series and many of the elements come together in a way that makes sense. I do think some of the storylines are either finished too fast or more ambitious than the premise and those hinder my overall enjoyment. The issue with the blade is finished too quickly for me and the parts of the story with the Defiant versus the Maquis ships could use more time to even out, but an overall entertaining story nonetheless.
The Art: Rosenlund creates some beautifully detailed and visually entertaining art throughout the issue. Everything from the environments to the character designs works perfectly with the tone of the story.
