The Rundown: A team goes hunting for the beast as its history is revealed.

Loli finds herself in the caves beneath the work site and discovers the truth about the creature who lived in harmony with the locals before the island is invaded by conquistadors who murder his mate and imprison the locals. In the present, a strike team heads down the beach towards the caves to stop the beast once and for all.
The team enters the cave and Loli does her best to help the beast escape, but it is ultimately captured and Loli barely escapes herself. After meeting with her mother, Loli is reminded of the fighter she has always been as the beast is taken to an unknown location.
The Story: Anta creates an intense and entertaining story in this issue. I loved getting the backstory on the beast and how it ties into the themes of colonization and invasion. The story continues to take some interesting turns with the characters and I cannot wait to see what Loli does after meeting with her mother and what it will mean for the island and the beast.
The Art: Irizarri delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the action moments immensely and the creature designs are fantastic.
