The Rundown: Sato deals with disaster and mutiny as things get worse for the Omega.

The crew of the Omega are still trapped within the depths of Deep Space Hope with Sato and the doctor dealing with their tactical officer and the Tal Shiar bomb she has been carrying in her stomach for years. Things get more intense when the resurrected Kirk makes a decision and calls Sato to the bridge to formally relieve him of command of the Omega.
Sato is confronted by Kirk, Jurati and another member of the crew who attempt to convince him that the best thing he can do for the Omega is to stand down and allow Kirk to command the ship in the wake of the rise of the Emerald Chain. At the same time, Zed and T’Galatheon have their own plan to end the threat of the black hole and hopefully free the ship and her crew.
The Story: Lanzing and Kelly continue to ramp up the tension and suspense throughout this issue. The tension really boils over in the interactions between Sato and Kirk and that’s where the story really picks up. The Zed/T’Galatheon storyline was a little weak in its execution, but it worked within the bigger themes of the story. The Jurati storyline seems to be losing steam, but I look forward to seeing what they do with it in the next issue.
The Art: Gonzalez creates some beautifully detailed and visually stylish art throughout the issue. I really like the visual style, but there are some scenes that are hard to scene because of the heavy shadows.
