The Rundown: Princess Soluna embraces her destiny and the trappings of power.

It’s been a year since the battle on the planet’s surface and Princess Soluna has returned to her station and her mother’s former home with all of the trappings of power and privilege that she was born into. As she prepares for a celebration at her father’s home, the dark shadow within her still lingers as she puts on her dress and takes to the skies in her chariot to be received by her father and the other powerful people with him.

After returning to her father, she finds him and the rest of the privileged enjoying themselves and returning to the status quo. Soluna falls in with them until the subject of the sacrifices comes up and events unfold that will destroy the status quo and feature the return of a familiar face looking for a new path forward.

The Story: Remender crafts a thrilling, suspenseful story in this issue. I am constantly impressed with the world building in this series and there is a wonderful slow burn of emotions and tension throughout the issue. Everything culminates in a satisfying reveal that makes me excited to see what happens next to both the world and the characters.

The Art: Fiumara creates some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story and the impressive imagery.
