The Rundown: As the X-Men fight for their existence, a global threat looms over the planet.

The Eternals are continuing their attack on Krakoa. At the same time, a contingent of aliens decide to attack Earth with a weapon they fire into the sun. Magik and Cyclops stop the aliens, but the damage is done with a giant solar flare building to attack the Earth. An attack that prompts Jean to pull Iceman from the fight to stop it.

Bobby heads into low orbit and begins to create an ice shield around the planet as the rest of the X-Men fight to protect both their island and the rest of the world. In the aftermath, Cyclops presents himself to the newest Celestial to be judged and the verdict is unexpected.

The Story: Duggan delivers a story filled with great energy and tension. The action is thrilling and I love the immediacy of the plot and its stakes. There are some great character moments throughout the plot and the characters have great interactions with each other. The story is enjoyable from start to finish and I love how it ties into the bigger Judgment Day storyline.

The Art: Villa delivers thrilling art on every page. The action is immediate, beautifully detailed and visually dazzling.
