The Rundown: Penguin makes a dangerous trip to see someone who knows him better than anyone.

Penguin heads to Las Vegas and everyone around him can tell how nervous he is. After being unfazed by every other element of his plan, this one mission is the only one making him sweat. After lashing out at everyone around him including the Help, Penguin heads to the casino and hotel run by the most dangerous women he knows, his ex-wife.

After a tense meeting over dinner, Penguin grossly underestimates his ex and finds himself taking some bullets for it. In the aftermath, he meets with her again to secure her help.

The Story: King continues to craft an excellent character study of Penguin in this series. I like seeing the character vulnerable in these circumstances and what that means for his plans. There is some great tension and drama throughout the issue and I love the heist movie feel of the plot.

The Art: De La Torre delivers some beautifully detailed and visually dynamic art throughout the issue.
