The Rundown: Tony Stark takes on his own creations and what might be his final battle.

After teaming with the mutants to take down Orchis, Tony has lured the Stark Sentinels to the desert to face them alone with his newest armor creation. At the same time, the ruse attracts the attention of the person he really wanted to stop, Feilong.

After taking on the sentinels throughout the desert, Tony realizes that there are limits to what he can do and as his new Sentinel Buster armor fails, Iron Man finds himself facing Feilong alone.

The Story: Duggan continues to craft a thrilling and entertaining adventure in this issue. The story does a fantastic job of bringing all the story elements this arc has been building to a fantastic and entertaining crescendo. I continue to love this arc and the intensity of Tony’s personal story. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Lee develops some fantastic art in the issue. The action is visually thrilling throughout the story and I love the detailed character designs.

Fei Long has always struck me as an update on the Mandarin and a mirror to Stark – I think he is interesting, but since Marvel does not know what to do with Stark, their rivalry underwhelms – Stark teaming up with the mutants and marrying Emma Frost is another example of that – I enjoy the artwork but I tuned out earlier when Stark was drunk and broke for the millionth time as a story idea…
