The Rundown: Cole is given a deadly choice and his decision will drag the man he loves into his world.

Cole has a meeting with Ruby as the reality of what they face continues to get bigger and more dangerous. After meeting with Lee, Cole has to convince the head of the department not to kill his husband in order to protect the department. Unfortunately, Black Hat’s efforts are making that harder as they sow seeds of chaos throughout the country.

Cole has an idea that might save both the department and the man that he loves. An idea that will require the Department to come out of the shadows and do something that no one, especially Black Hat would expect.

The Story: An interesting and thought provoking issue that takes some unexpected and intriguing turns throughout. I love seeing the real world implications of Black Hat’s plans and how they are shoving Lee and the Department into a difficult position and choice. There are some great character moments in the issue and the story continues to keep me riveted and wanting more.

The Art: Simmonds beautifully draws the reader in visually with art that is both provocative and visually engaging.
