A Science Teacher takes to the Stars in the First Trailer for 'Project Hail Mary' starring Ryan Gosling

Based on the novel by Andy Weir, writer of The Martian, Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for upcoming adaptation of his novel Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling.

Science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.

Project Hail Mary stars Ryan Gosling, Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung and Milana Vayntrub. The movie is executive produced by Patricia Whitcher, Drew Goddard, Sarah Esberg, Lucy Kitada, Nikki Baida, Ken Kao, written by Drew Goddard (The Martian, Cloverfield) and directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street).
