The Rundown: Two towns are at war and their battle will spill out into unknown territory.
The people of Coldwater have taken up arms and the battle between both towns is a gory and destructive affair with Galen and his forces prepared to do whatever it takes to stop the rebellion including killing the kids who managed to escape the town. At the same time, Daniel can only watch as both towns tear each other apart until he gets an unexpected save from Clara.
Meanwhile, Greene gets some unexpected help from Ted and they race out of the town to stop the kids from being killed. A mission that will end with a death that no one can back from. Daniel confronts Galen and decides that there is another solution than just fighting.
The Story: A thrilling adventure from Zdarsky. Everything is ramped up including the action and stakes. The story takes some great and completely unexpected twists and turns throughout and I found myself immersed and engaged at every revelation and character moment. I was surprised with the resolution of the battle and even more surprised by what happens after and what it means for the world of these characters.
The Art: Perez delivers fantastic art throughout. There are some visually intense scenes throughout and the action scenes are amazing.
