The Rundown: Worf and Spock decide to take a dangerous gamble by liberating an even more dangerous asset.

Kahless and his followers have attacked another world and killed its population using a weapon with the same energy signature as the crystalline entity. The only being that has knowledge of how the energy works is locked in a hidden Section 31 base that Worf and Spock will have to break into in order to liberate the head of a former enemy, Lore.

As the Defiant heads to a meeting with Orion pirates, Ro takes command. Unfortunately, the crews ruse to get information quickly blows up in their face and they find themselves facing possible death.

The Story: I continue to enjoy seeing some of my favorite Trek characters going rogue in this interesting and highly entertaining story from Cantwell. I love the tension between the characters and how the events ramp up and play to that tension in intriguing ways. I never thought a team up between Worf and Spock would work, but this has definitely gotten my attention as a Star Trek fan. I love the wild card of Lore thrown into the mix and look forward to seeing where the story goes next.

The Art: Uzueta delivers some great visuals throughout the issue. The characters have a hard edge visually which works for the tone of the story and I love the environments as well.
