Deron GenerallyThe final issue of Spider-Men II has revealed an interesting and somewhat shocking return.
At the end of the Secret Wars event, it looked like the Ultimates universe was no more and that the alternate versions of the Marvel heroes would be gone forever. Well, it looks like the Ultimates have returned in the finale of Spider-Men II and it shows an Ultimate Spider-Man Peter Parker who is very much alive.
Along with the reveal that Parker is alive, other Ultimates show up as well including Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Giant Man, Spider-Woman and an Ultimates version of Riri Williams Ironheart. With this reveal, there are several possibilities for new stories featuring the Ultimates universe. It will be up to a new team of writers to bring new stories with the characters as their creator, Brian Michael Bendis, has moved over to DC Comics.
