Deron GenerallyNetflix has released the first teaser for Luke Cage season 2 and it looks like there is a change coming.
In the first season of the Marvel Studios series on Netflix, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) was doing everything that he could to keep from being noticed. One the run from the police and his past, Cage became a reluctant hero for the people of Harlem as he fought to take down the criminal forces destroying the city.
In this first footage from season 2, Cage is front and center, ready to call out anyone and challenging them to come after him. While we don’t know who the threat will be for season 2, it is fair to say from the short amount of footage that we’ve been given, that the next season is going to ramp up the action significantly.
After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.
Luke Cage returns to Netflix June 22nd.
