Mech Cadet Yu #7

Sky Corps Academy is in ruins after an order is given to blow it up. The pretense being that there are sharg eggs in the dorm. Takana wants answers and unfortunately, the ones that he gets are not what he wants to hear.
Apparently, there are new orders from Central Command and everyone needs to evacuate. Something that doesn’t sit right with the cadets, especially Yu. As they make their way to Central Command, Takana learns more about the Sharg and their plan. The rest of the cadets gear up and get ready for the fight ahead. When they finally arrive, there is definite tension between the Academy team and the Command team. Tension that doesn’t look like its going to end well.
Yu follows Park out into the hall and he discovers that she doesn’t trust anything that’s happening to them and she is determined to get some answers. The answers they get put themselves and they mechs at risk for a plan that they have no idea will succeed. One the run, Yu meets up with his team and together they embark on a desperate mission to stop the Sharg threat once and for all. Unfortunately, they might have to go through Central Command to do so and Park is going to have to decide where her loyalties lie.
Mech Cadet Yu has always found a good mix of action, story and visuals and this issue is no exception. I like the fact that the immediacy of the situation is reflected in both the narrative and the art. Everything moves at a pace that is in keeping with the action and adventure elements of the plot. The art is amazing with some impressive panels and great detail. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
