Insidious 4: The Last Key Trailer Takes You Deeper into the Further

The Insidious franchise has been incredibly successful, terrifying moviegoers for years with its intricate story and connected universe. Well a new chapter in the Insidious story is set to be written early next year and the first trailer is now available.

Insidious 4: The Last Key is a prequel to the all of the events of the previous Insidious films and stars Lin Shaye reprising her role of Elise Rainier from the previous films. In this new chapter, Elise recalls a time in her youth where her younger self (played by Ava Kolker) was haunted by a demonic spirit in her New Mexico home. A spirit that pushed her deeper into the supernatural realm known as the Further.

The creative minds behind the hit Insidious trilogy return for Insidious: The Last Key. In the supernatural thriller, which welcomes back franchise standout Lin Shaye as Dr. Elise Rainier, the brilliant parapsychologist faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet: in her own family home. The film is written by co-creator Leigh Whannell (Saw), who wrote the trilogy and directed Chapter 3; produced by Insidious regulars Jason Blum (The Purge series, Get Out), Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity) and co-creator James Wan (The Conjuring, Furious 7); and directed by series newcomer Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan).
