The Rundown: Huck’s search for a missing super leads him to more adventures and opportunities to help.

Gina Sykes has a superpower that allows her to know when someone is coming and she has been using that power for weeks to stay one step ahead of Huck, his mom and Mr. Harper. When Huck decides on another way to get close to the woman, she finally sits down to talk to them and is offered some semblance of peace as she reveals her own encounter with the witch.

As their travels continue, Harper continues to be disillusioned that they will ever find Sophia, but heartened at the amount of people Huck helps on their journey. As their journey brings them to a young boy who cannot control his earthquake powers, they find themselves in the presence of the boy’s grandmother who uses her powers to try to stop them. Powers Harper remembers from his time with Sophia.

The Story: Millar crafts a sweet, endearing and entertaining story in this issue. I continue to love the world of this story and how the story gives a sense of hope in the main character while also creating great personal drama and dropping clues to a bigger threat I want to see explored. I like the tone of the story a lot and there is a wonderful evolution of emotion in Harper before it gets to a cliffhanger that makes me excited to read the next issue.

The Art: Albuquerque delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story and the visuals are brilliantly detailed.
