The Rundown: Scanlan and Grog find themselves in the middle of a mystery.

Scanlan and Grog are working with an adventuring party trying to stop cultists in a temple outside the city. After bringing them down and discovering a lot of loot, the pair join the rest of the party trying to discover what the liquid in the strange vial they discovered is. Unfortunately, they find themselves clashing with the Clasp and losing a member of the party.
In an attempt to drown their sorrows at the tavern, Scanlan meets Tiberius who pays him for the vial and leaves before a local town guard attempts to arrest the group for having it. When Scanlan talks him into meeting them later to retrieve it, the Bard and the Goliath attempt to discover why people want the vial so badly.
The Story: Mercer and Colville craft a fun, engaging adventure in this issue. I like the dynamic between Scanlan and Grog and how it stands out in their current party. I like the fact that their quest for treasure allows them to stumble into a bigger mystery and the fun tone of the story makes everything more endearing and entertaining. I really enjoyed the action in the issue and how it ends on a note that makes me excited to read what’s next.
The Art: Samson delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. The action is visually thrilling and the character designs are amazing.
