The Rundown: Jack is forced to deal with the reality of his situation when the town begins to fall apart.

With his zombie husband dead and his zombie daughter missing, Jack returns to the town as the unfed zombies begin to rampage. The survivors who invaded are being killed as they try to find a way to escape and Jack rushes to the food source he’s been keeping to tame the zombies only to find it decimated.
With no hope left, he returns home and discovers his dead daughter Daisy has returned. Steeped in grief and delusion, he takes her outside only to be attacked by another survivor. When Daisy kills the man, she turns on her father and he is forced to realize the truth and make a decision to save his own life.
The Story: Brombal brings this story to a darkly tragic, sad and compelling conclusion. The story has a wonderful sense of tragedy throughout the issue and I really enjoyed seeing Jack steeped in his delusions. There were hints of something interesting with the zombies and those hints make me curious to see what could happen if Brombal returns to this world.
The Art: Phillips creates some beautifully detailed and visually tragic moments throughout the issue. I really loved the look of this issue and the emotional impact the imagery has.
