There’s been speculation since Warner Brothers announced that they were skipping Hall H at this year’s San Diego Comic Con that Disney and/or Marvel Studios would be taking over the space to announce their next slate of films and television shows.

According to Disney, the company will utilizing its highly popular D23 Expo to make those announcements and the Walt Disney Company has released a schedule of what fans can expect to see this year at their 6,800 Hall 23 venue at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Friday August 23rd will see Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger inducting a new series of Disney Legends including Robert Downey Jr, Jon Favreau, James Earl Jones, Bette Midler, Ming Na Wen and composer Hans Zimmer.

That afternoon will be the Disney+ presentation. Those in attendance will get their first look at some of the original content coming to the streaming service including Lady and the Tramp and The Mandalorian.

On Saturday will be the big presentations from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. Saturday will also see the presentation of the live action projects from Disney, Star Wars and Marvel Studios. Fans will get to experience what’s on the slate for the upcoming Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney’s D23 Expo starts Friday August 23rd at the Anaheim Convention Center.
