The Rundown: The party goes searching for its missing member and uncovers a dark truth.

Sophie and the others find themselves in a world ruled by Robert Louis Stevenson and must take to the seas in order to find the missing Callum. Sophie makes a deal with one of her patrons that will put a set of adventurers in danger, but will also clear her debt with it and they find a ship willing to take them to the Dreaming Lands.

As they board the ship and make their way across the sea, Callum is confronted by the vampire who took him in and informed of what he is there to do with respect to his die. After their ship is attacked and run ashore, Sophie discovers that the person giving her visions is behind the attack. An attack that will separate the group with Sophie confronting someone with a dangerous truth and the Fallen in the party getting made an offer that might save them.

The Story: Gillen continues to craft a thrilling, intense and entertaining story in this issue. I continue to be in awe of the world of this series and the way the characters move throughout it. There are wonderful moments of betrayal and revelation throughout the story and I love that things are made more difficult for the group because they don’t have the same shared history as the previous party. It allows for more moments of distrust and possible betrayal. I also really loved the reveal towards the end of the issue and what it means for the characters, their journeys and their lives in the real world.

The Art: Hans creates some truly stunning art throughout the issue. I continue to be in awe of the look of this world and the characters within it. Gorgeously detailed and brilliantly dynamic in its visuals.
