Deadpool 2 Ends Infinity War's Reign at the Box Office

Deadpool 2 was expected to open big and it has this weekend taking over the top spot from the powerhouse that it Avengers Infinity War.

Deadpool 2 starring Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin and Zazie Beetz took in an estimated $125 million dollars domestically this weekend, but felt short of beating the opening weekend of the original Deadpool film with $132 million. This means that Deadpool 2 is the second biggest opening for an R-Rated film ever.

Infinity War is still going strong, bringing in over $1.81 Billion globally. Deadpool 2 is performing well overseas as well, bringing the total box office for the films first weekend to over $301 million dollars worldwide. This also brings it the third biggest domestic opening for the year behind Infinity War and Black Panther.
