In a move that I’m sure surprised many in the comic book world, DC Comics Co-Publisher Dan DiDio is no longer with the publisher.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the co-publisher will depart ahead of a further relaunch of the DC Comics universe that is set to restore many of the elements that were lost during DiDio’s line wide ‘The New 52’ relaunch back in 2011.

DiDio has served as co-publisher alongside Jim Lee since 2010 and was previously both Vice President of Editorial and executive editor. DiDio’s current run on Metal Men is currently halfway through its 12 issue run.

No word on who will replace DiDio or if Lee will be the sole publisher for DC Comics, but we will continue to follow the story.
