The Rundown: The investigation into a killer continues as Matt finds his world upended by a new threat.

Matt needs some help. Unfortunately, his options are limited as he tries to determine who is the mystery man he found in his apartment who warned him that Matt Murdock would die. To get answers, Daredevil goes looking for the Owl and discovers that the criminal is lying about what he knows. At the same time, Detective Forte follows the trail of the killer removing eyes from his victim and tracks down a possible location.

Matt’s investigation doesn’t bear much fruit so he returns to teach his class. When one of the students says something that triggers him, Matt leaves abruptly only to find himself having to be rescued by an old friend. Forte discovers something that could connect the killer to Matt Murdock directly or make the law professor their prime suspect.

The Story: Phillips continues to set up and craft a great mystery in this arc. The story is intricate and engaging both in the murder investigation and in Matt’s hunt for the mystery man. I like how complicated the plot and characters are and how Matt is navigating both his professional and superhero lives. There is some great dialogue throughout the issue and I love the final cliffhangers of the issue. I will definitely be checking out the next issue to see what happens.

The Art: Garbett delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the contrast between the Matt Murdock moments and the Daredevil moments. I also really love the suit design.
