The Rundown: Artagan continues to tell his tale as he finds himself pleading for his life.

Artagan finds himself unable to escape the judgement of the Court and tries to plead for his life by doing the thing he does best, tell stories. The yarn he spins consists of his visit to another place and all of the good he did for the small village of humans he found there from educating them to helping them learn magic.

Unfortunately, Artagan didn’t suspect the court to call forth a witness who has firsthand knowledge of the truth of his visit. A witness who will tell the dark truth of their time with the Arch-Fey before the court calls in some additional witnesses who are familiar with Artagan’s tricks.

The Story: Maggs and the cast deliver a fun, funny and thoroughly entertaining story for fans of the characters and the world of Critical Role. Artagan’s plight is filled with dark humor and interesting moments and I love seeing the expansion of this world and the reveal of familiar characters that made me smile.

The Art: Or delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the depiction of the characters as well as the beautifully immersive world of the story.
