The Rundown: The Quiet Man goes after another criminal leader with Batman and Robin on his trail.

In the aftermath of the attack on the Iceberg Lounge, Batman and Robin are on the scene to interview Penguin. Batman knows that Penguin is keeping something from them, but one of his employees reveals more about the killer before the duo leave and analyze one of the coins taken from one of the bodies. At the same time, Penguin calls for a meeting with Two-Face that Batman discovers.
Robin takes a position to watch the meeting between Penguin and Two-Face and receives a visit from the Gotham Irregulars who know more about the Quiet Man than anyone before the man himself arrives to get answers regarding an old score and the man who set it up. As Batman and Robin confront him, Batman discovers who the man’s next target is going to be and what his motive really is.
The Story: Kennedy Johnson continues to craft an interesting and engaging antagonist in this story. It’s hard to call him a villain per se because his motivations are personal and seem laser focused on the criminals and killer who wronged him. I like that he is quiet and methodical throughout as well as motivated and highly skilled. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens next in this story.
The Art: Ossio delivers some fun, inventive and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the intensity of the imagery and how it captures the tone of the story.
