The Rundown: The death of a sitcom star opens the doors to secrets being revealed.

Tim McQueen was an actor on a highly successful sitcom in the 90’s. Unfortunately, he was also found killed in his pool. As he reflects on his time on the show and the relationships he made with his co-stars, Tim begins to recount memories with them as well as the successes they had and his attempts to move on in the business.

As time moves forward and the friends grow apart, Tim continues to try to find success as a writer. Unfortunately, a long-buried secret between the members of the group could be responsible for Tim’s death as one of them makes the decision to silence him forever.

The Story: King crafts an interesting story in this first issue and it definitely got my attention. I like that the story is told from Tim’s perspective after the fact and what he reveals about himself and the people close to him. There is an intriguing mystery being created in this series and it hits on my sense of nostalgia for the time period as well as crafting some engaging characters in the rest of the cast. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.

The Art: Walta creates some great visual moments throughout the issue. I love a lot of the framing of the panels and how they progress the story and the character journeys.
