The Rundown: The Omega discovers a possible solution to save the Federation, but it comes at a cost.

Traveling at transwarp speeds, the USS Omega and its crew can only watch as the Emerald Chain continues to take over the galaxy. As Captain Sato spars with his first officer James Kirk, the ship gets a message that might be promising in the wake of the Burn.
The Omega gets notification that the Vulcan and Romulan scientists on Ni’Var have found a possible solution to the warp issue in the galaxy and the Omega races to the location of a hidden research space station. Unfortunately, they discover that the researchers uncovered something that is slowly driving them mad and Agnes is forced to intervene despite being warned by Sato of what will happen.
The Story: Lanzing and Kelly take the story to a dark and compelling place in this issue. I continue to love the dark tone of the story and the world being created in this series. There is great tension throughout the issue and the buildup of suspense is perfect. The story takes some bold steps forward for the characters and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Gonzalez brings a dark, elegant edge to the art in this issue. The visuals are brilliantly detailed and capture the dark tone and mood of the story perfectly.
