The Rundown: Lady Mechanika begins a new investigation while Mr. Lewis and the kids find a mechanical mystery.

Lady Mechanika has been contacted by Inspector Singh to travel with him to a possible hideout of the Reapers who unsuccessfully attempted to kidnap her before. The two travel to the location only to discover that it is an abandoned church and the reaper leader Mistress Grimm. Grimm offers the pair some information and thrusts them into another mystery regarding what happened to Lady Mechanika.

At the same time, Mr. Lewis and the girls are enjoying a day in the park with their mechanical teddy bear when they hear tales of a fantastical mechanical circus that is nearby. The three decide to pay it a visit only to discover its owner who has been unable to repair the automatons. When Mr. Lewis decides to give it a try, the three find themselves in a potentially dangerous mechanical mystery.

The Story: Holly-Rosing crafts an entertaining, engaging story in this first issue. I love the world of this series and this story has all of the elements that I enjoy as well as continuing the interpersonal conflict that engaged me from the previous arc. I like the mysteries being introduced in this issue a lot and want to see how they are explored. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.

The Art: Benitez and Montiel craft some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I really love the visual style and the vibrant look of every scene.
