The Rundown: Steve Rogers becomes part of a new revolution while his team is at odds with what they should do next.

Steve Rogers and his team have been sent by SHIELD to look for and secure any weapons of mass destruction Doom is hiding in Latveria. Unfortunately, Steve discovers something while investigating on his own that shifts his focus to stopping the new leader of the country who has become a dictator himself.

Teaming with Doom’s daughter, a local resistance leader, Steve rallies the people to march on the castle to stop the man known as Salvation. At the same time, his team is divided on whether they should help or stick to their mission. As a battle rages in the streets, things get more complicated and outside forces believe it is their time to step in and take over.

The Story: Zdarsky crafts an intense, engaging political thriller in this issue. There is a wonderful buildup of suspense throughout the story as events begin to take shape and all the opposing parties in this struggle begin to make their moves. I love Steve’s resolve in the story as well as seeing the opposing viewpoints from the other characters and those conflicts make for some great drama that has me interested in seeing what happens next.

The Art: Lima creates beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I really love the visuals as well as the action.
