The Rundown: Samantha watches as Monica digs herself deeper into her obsession.

Monica uses a ruse to enter the house of the person who the town believes was the serial killer in their midst. As she searches for possible clues to the location of her brother’s body, Samantha watches things unfold after egging her on. After finding a box in the house, she is caught by the current owners and her escape leads to tragedy.

Samantha intercepts her and she escapes the town while Samantha locates a clue that implicates her in her crimes and prepares to take Monica out into the woods to complete the next part of her plan.

The Story: Horvath continues to create a great sense of suspense throughout the issue as Monica dives deeper into unknown waters while Sam circles her like a shark. I love how her obsession leads to tragedy and what that means not only for Monica, but also Sam’s plans. The story does a great job of keeping the tension mounting while also creating some sad and engaging human moments for other characters caught in this growing tragedy.

The Art: Horvath creates some beautifully engaging art that stuns in both detail and emotion.
