The Rundown: The Fantastic Four bring home a new pet, but not everyone is excited about it.

Alicia returns home to discover that the family has adopted a new pet. Unable to see the creature, he believes there is something wrong with it as she feels something strange petting it while everyone else sees a cute puppy. Her suspicions compel her to speak to read about whether there is something that can alter one’s perception and her thought experiment gets Reed’s mind working.
That night, the creature attack Alicia to get her in line while Reed works on something in his lab. The next morning, Reed debuts his new device which forces the reveal of what their new pet really looks like as well as what its plans for the family and planet actually are.
The Story: North creates a fun, entertaining standalone story in this issue and I appreciated how it focuses on Alicia and her relationship with the rest of the family. I also like that the story is self-contained to one area and how perception is used as a through line. The pacing of the story gets a little odd during the back half of the plot with the reveal feeling a little forced, but the story was enjoyable and has some interesting and entertaining elements.
The Art: Ramos delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I really enjoyed the imagery and visual a lot.
