Writer/Director Matt Reeves has found a new member of the cast for his upcoming take on the DC Comics dark knight.
According to Deadline, Warner Brothers has found its Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in actress Zoe Kravitz. Deadline says that the deal is done and the film will be released in theaters June 25, 2021. Kravitz will join Robert Pattison as Bruce Wayne aka Batman and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon in the feature that will follow the Dark Knight’s early years as a crime fighter.
Kravitz recently starred in the HBO series Big Little Lies, but she has a history of genre performances as well with starring roles in films including the Divergent franchise, Mad Max Fury Road, the Fantastic Beasts series, X-Men: First Class and The Lego Batman Movie where she played Catwoman.
Mattson Tomlin and Reeves co-wrote the script for The Batman. Dylan Clark and Reeves produce. Michael E. Uslan is EP. Production begins in January in London, UK.
