The Rundown: In order to get out from under Shivers and Viv, Klaus will come up with a unique escape plan.

Klaus has been captured by Shivers and the ape wants him to go into the afterlife to find his dead wife. A prospect made more difficult by the fact that the woman wants nothing to do with her former husband. To make matters worse, the vampire who’s territory Shivers took over wants revenge and doesn’t care who gets in his way.

In the afterlife, Klaus not only strikes a deal with the dead wife, but also with another friend who has a script that needs a star. Using his connections to the afterlife and some higher authorities, he devises a plan to kill multiple birds with one stone. Unfortunately, part of the plan means enlisting Viv who is having a complicated time on the set of her new movie and has a destructive fit about it.

The Story: A funny issue that gives Klaus agency in a series that has usually cast him adrift to the machinations of others. The story is as fun as the characters and the plot takes some great twists that are surprising and intriguing. All of the plot points that have led to this point are starting to pay off and I am interested in seeing how this story gets wrapped up.

The Art: Culbard does a fine job with the art. The style of the characters and the backgrounds melds with the tone of the story.
