The Rundown: A half vampire finds herself pulled into a dark and dangerous world.
In a dark dangerous future, Sable is a half-vampire, half-human. As she traverses the Hollow Wilds she comes across an old woman who has a potential cure for her human mother’s condition. Unfortunately, she is attacked on the way home by the forces of her vampire father and she returns home to find her mother missing.
After fighting her way into the castle, she finds her mother but the woman is killed. Sable is pulled out of the fray by a man named Dai who takes her and a small group of warriors targeted by dark forces. A group that decides to band together, but the darkness hunting them begins to attack.
The Story: Ikhile crafts an interesting and engaging world in this first issue. There are interesting characters and great action throughout the issue and the hint of a great mystery at the heart of the story. The characters are unique and compelling and the threat facing them grabbed my attentions. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.
The Art: Marvida creates some beautifully detailed art for the world of this story. I really love the post-apocalyptic setting as well as the character designs.
