The Rundown: Creed gives Logan a gift just before his enemies go on the offensive.
Creed pays a visit to Logan to tell him that he is leaving the opposition with the two kids that have come into his care. He also leaves Logan with a gift that might help him in his revenge journey. At the same time, the Rasputin’s discover the location of the Opposition base and decide to dispatch Omega Red to bring it down.
As the base is attacked, Logan takes on Arkady alone while the rest of the mutants go on the attack against the human and sentinel forces sent to bring them down. As the battle rages, Piotr waits for news and receives an unwelcome gift from his brother.
The Story: Condon crafts an intense, thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. I really enjoyed the moments between Creed and Logan and the tease of the gift was a great touch that had me excited to see what would happen with it. I can say I was not disappointed. The action was thrilling and I really enjoyed the way the issue ended and what it means for Piotr and his plans.
The Art: Lins creates some great character moments with the art in the issue. I liked the action a lot, but there was a lack of visual intensity in the fight with Omega Red that I noticed.
