Brian De Palma is one of the most iconic directors in the industry. The director of such films as Carrie, Scarface and The Untouchables is in pre-production on a new film that will feature two stars of the HBO smash hit Game of Thrones.
De Palma is developing the film Domino for release. Domino will star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) as one of a police officers who goes rogue when a colleague is murdered in the line of duty. The pair cross Europe as a series of terrorist attacks are taking place. They are in pursuit of a man who seemingly has ties to a CIA operative on the trail of the ISIS cell committing the attacks.
Former Mad Men star Christina Hendricks was originally attached to play the other lead. Actress Carice Van Houten (Melisandre) will take over the role. She released a statement after being cast, “I am delighted to join the cast of Domino; it’s a privilege to be working with such an iconic director,” van Houten said. “And who knew that Jamie Lannister and Melisandre would meet outside Westeros?”
Domino is currently in production.
