The Rundown: A new friend is killed and the boys discover their status as dead boys might not protect them from getting hurt.

Charles and Edwin’s new friend Dom is murdered by a supernatural monster leaving the boys and their new Thai spirit friends wondering how they will ever be free. Charles decides that they need to continue Dom’s investigation and find the amulet he was looking for if they have any chance of helping their new friends. What they don’t know is that there is another threat looming that is coming straight for them.

As the boys split up to look for answers, Edwin finds himself in an uncomfortable situation with Tanya while Charles and Jai take a dangerous trip down the spirit road. When the boys find a clue that leads them a place their friends can’t follow, the pair are attacked by creatures who don’t care that they are dead.

The Story: An engaging and entertaining follow up to the first issue. The story has a great mystery at the center of it and you want to know more about it because Pichetshote makes the characters interesting and engaging as well. You want to follow the adventures of these kids because you care what happens to them and that helps connect with the reader. I love the build up to the cliffhanger and what it means for the characters going forward.

The Art: Stokely does awesome work with the art in the issue. The characters beautifully stand out and the world that they inhabit is visually engaging.
